  • Born in Toronto, Canada, Dr. Patel relocated to the United States in 1998 and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago where she graduated with honors and went on to complete her medical degree at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. She completed her residency and fellowship at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology. Her special interests include kidney stones and she offers a specialized stone clinic. This clinic provides a comprehensive treatment plan individualized to each patient by working closely with urologists with the goal of prevention of further kidney stones. Other interests include chronic kidney disease and dialysis therapies.
