- Dr.Sousanieh was born and raised in Damascus, Syria. He graduated from Damascus University, Faculty of Medicine with a Doctor of Medicine degree. He moved to the United States to complete his Internal Medicine training at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science/Chicago Medical School where he served as a Chief Resident. He pursued a Fellowship in Nephrology at Rush University Medical Center where he also served as a Chief Fellow. Dr. Sousanieh is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. He is fluent in Arabic and French. He is interested in acute kidney injury in the critical care setting, glomerulonephritis, and interventional nephrology.
