- Dr. Ybañez received his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Medicine degrees from the University of the Philippines. He completed his Internal Medicine training at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago. Throughout his training, Dr. Ybañez received numerous clinical, teaching, and academic awards. Dr. Ybañez practiced Internal Medicine for six years before going to the University of Vermont to complete his Nephrology Fellowship. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. He is fluent in Tagalog (Filipino) and Cebuano. His clinical interests include critical care nephrology, acute kidney injury, and hypertension.
